As the pillar if light rose from the ground, The Deathknight screamed in pain from the holy gryph. From the sound of his pain would be a sign of hope. That is until the light began to fade and the scream became cackling laughter. Even though Elizana couldn't see, he did have burn marks over areas of his flesh. But he always knew to never let the enemy know your weakness.
"I told you, I've seen what the light can do. Now let me show you what the light cannot do!"
Below them, another glyph appeared, only this was in demonic pattern and the area glowed the same erie green. Shadows in the forms of hands rose up and grabbed whatever was in the glyph except their master. The Paladin could see the same glowing in his eyes. "Here is my 'light' show."
And just like the pillar of holy light the Paladin use, the same collum rose. Only this time it was green with violet swirls within inside. Instead of the feeling of pure light and good, it was a sinking burning sensation he released upon the Paladin. The complete opposite of what her attack was in the same style of fighting. The Deathknight knew it wouldn't finish her off, but since she gave him a taste of her 'holy light' he though he would return the favour.
And again, swords parried left and right. The Deathknight went for the legs, but Elizana was ready and jumped right over the swing. She went for swiping his neck to cut off his head, but the deathknight ducked in time for her to chip a piece of his orc helmet. Elizana raised her sword up and went for a vertical slash, but the Deathknight blocked it with his blade.
"Scourge! Come and aid your commander!"
Around the area, corpses began rising up from the ground. Everyone of had sightless eyes and their bodies were already decaying. Elizana hadn't realized that one was creeping up behind her. But the, as quickly as they rose from the grave, flames erupted over all the rising dead and were reduced to ashes. At the corner of the Deathknight's eye, he saw another figure. A Dranai Shaman casted his magic upon his undead soldiers.
Urran shouted. "You're not going to call for backup, deathknight! If you ar anything like the man you were, you'd fight honorably."

Urran...somehow he must have driven back the undead from the town. Not bad for a Shaman...gah! What is this?!? Dark Consentration?
But while she thought of that, somehow she was struck with her own spell's counterpart as a much darker pillar appear in its place. Gritting her teeth at the burning effects it is having within herself. Her held back tears almost gave away her pain for she will not give him the satisfaction of her being in agony .She returns back her pained gaze at Urran holding back the undead before she pulled back her shield and her arm that held it. Already the shield glows even brighter with a familar spell.
"Apparently you still have your paladin skill in you but it will take more than that to bring me down! Holy Shield!"
With that being said, she attempts to bring her glowing shield down with a strong swing towards his head without a moment to spare as they lock blades. Knowing that he might break the lock just to avoid it, she brought her blade back and lunge forward in a thrusting stab although keeping her shield close to her in case he avoids that as well.

Amel smiled at the charred husk that laid at her feet. The once famished abomination was turned into a smoldering hunk of foul-smelling flesh. Her felhunter nibbled at one of his appendages.
"I'd like undead more, if they could survive my judgment." Amel murmured to her minion. It gave no sign of concern, just a slight irritation by the monster's lack of magic.
Looking back into the distance, the witch saw the deathknight and paladin exchange pillars of energy. The once powerful deathknight had become cornered by Urran and had attempted to bolster his numbers. The air turned chill as corpses began to climb from their slumbered tombs. "Stop him." She ordered to her felhunter.
The hand of one corpse reached out from under the earth to grab Amel by the ankle. Realizing too late that she had stumbled into tranquil gardens cemetery, the witch yelped as the hand pulled her to the ground. Another viscous hand from the same ghoul, clawed her side with unholy rage. "Nevermind the deathknight, save me!" She ordered, trying to fry the ground beneath her, unable to as it would in all likelihood fry her as well.
The felhunter had either ignored or did not hear it's masters orders as it charged to the deathknight, using it's magic dampening abilities to silence him. A morbid growl from the demon signaled his attack as he leaped at the plate-covered figure.

The Deathknight had his blade locked with Elizana's. Both of them glaring eye to eye with total hatred for each other. When she went to stab him, he was able to evade it, but only to the point where his right side of amor was cut through. Now his ribs were exposed, but.... somewhat decaying. He was ready to made his strike when he heard that felhunter's battlecry and immediatly turned to face him. "YOU'LL GET YOUR CHANCE TO DIE NEXT!!" he yelled as he parried the Felhunter's strike and grabbed him by the arm. "UNTIL THEN, STAY OUT OF MY WAY, DEMON!" And with all his strength, he the the felhunter in the direction of his master. As the felhunter landed, hands popped up from underground to try to grab him.
Urran closed his eyes and meditated. Ten seconds is what he needed for his attack. Taking his time, he spoke to the element of water and air to work on the storm. 1.....2.....3.... As he bagan, the clouds above grew blacker and blacker, until there was no trace of sun nor moon.
4....5.....6...
Lightning bolts began forming and danced across the sky
7....8....9...
By now, the lightning has grown so bright that it lights up the area as bright as day.
"10! Now Deathknight, prepare for my attack! Elizana! Watch out!"
With his arms raised as his staff pointed at the sky, he pointed at a lighning bolt and then within a second, brought his staff, hitting the ground. In response, the lightning bolt he pointed to reacted and came spiraling down within micro-seconds. The Deathknight had only time to look up before the bolt stuck him. At that point, all was pure bright for a good 5 seconds, and the entire area roared with exploding thunder. It felt like an eternity before the light and the thunder faded out.
The Deathknight was starting to show sign of real damage. His leg was exposed, along with his shoulder and decaying ribs. All his armor were charred in black. Looking around, he knew he was outnumbered. there was no more point of a fight here.
"You may have won this battle!" he shouted before whistling. His demonic Stallion with a green firey mane returned in a great gallop next to his master for him to climb up on his back. "But you're still far from beating his majesty! HYA!" kicking the horse's hips, the Deathknight began to make his retreat. By now, all the underground hands pulled back for their rest.

Just as Elizana was about to bring about a quick succession of strikes upon the Deathknight. The felhunter soon interfered in the battle with its involvement. Although the demon was quickly dispatched by her enemy, it wasn't the deathknight that had her concerned but rather the incoming thunderbolt descending from the sky and onto them...
"I call upon the light to protect me in greatest peril, allow me the power to survive such devestation upon all life! I beckon thee....DIVINE SHIELD!"
With that, she quickly prayed as fast as she could, deploying the bubble like barrier in front of her to take the entire blast easily and just in time too. Although the flash of lightning had blinded her slightly for a moment, her vision then returned when she witnessed him escaping from the scene. His words of boasting that she is not strong enough to beat Arthas only sent her into a seething anger, even as the barrier around her then disspeared.
"I intend to prove you wrong...very soon..."
Only gritted teeth appeared on her face when she watched him leave, although they have won this battle. She knows fully well that this is not over, not by a long shot. But for now, she can only turn around and look for the others, seeing if they too have endured this little battle as well.

Urran walked himself with his staff as a cane and appraoched Elizana. "You are indeed a strong one, young Paladin. I've seen him slew warriors within seconds, but you were able to stand your ground and the first to live through a fight with him..."

Amel limped over to the shaman and Paladin, kicking her minion to the side as he neared her. "Where the hell were you?!" She shouted at her demon.
Applying pressure to the wound on her side, she looked back to the other two. "It doesn't matter. I assume you let the deathknight escape. We should go after him, after all a runeblade fetches a nice price on the market."
A purple aura surrounded the witch as she began the arduous task of draining the souls from the nearby corpses. Expecting some chastise from the paladin for 'immorality' she decided to remark first. "It's them or us, and I don't think they can complain at the moment."

Urran wan't really fond of Amel's witchcraft. If it were up to him, he's rather have the corpse burned to ashes, more of a pure death and putting the soul at rest. Though she did have her point on either them or the enemy. And she was right about keeping persue. "He'll definatly lead us to thoes captured villagers. We better get moving if we are to save them."

Elizana sighed in no real intention to remark at all towards the limping warlock save for a mere glimpse at her. Showing herself to be not in the very least in the mood to spite her at the moment save for one simple comment.
"Typical Warlock logic."
Shaking her head at her before nodding towards Urran in respect as she then with a wave of her hand, brought forth a quick holy light spell on Amel in an effort to heal her before speaking once more time.
"My experiences in endless combat and my training with Uther has given me the power to continue on fighting. My faith is my shield and my will is my sword, both will keep me alive at least until I face Arthas within Icecrown. But until then, you are correct...we have to save these people before they too join the fallen."
With that she then whistled loudly to beckon her mighty charger to her side. Already starting to get ready to give pursuit on these Scourge agents.

Urran looked around and for any other life form creature and spotted an owl up in the trees. Knowing the bird would be able to make the perfect scout, he looked up to the bird and focused within his eyes.
"Follow the undead, you're eyes and speed in the air are needed to save innocent lives."
The Owl let out a lout hoot in response and took off in the direction where the Deathknight and his army fleed.

Amel sighed, glancing at the paladin as she galloped off. The witched decided to follow, But first I should probably make sure that mage is alive.
Amel banished her minion back to the nether. focusing, she searched the depths of her mind for her benefactors. "Any suggestions, I'm running blind here."
Kill the deathknight; make him an example to all the wretched scourge for betraying their true creators.
"Kil'jaden isn't a creator, just a manipulator."
From the nether returned the witches dreadsteed. She mounted and raced back to town to check on the mage.

Urran made his way through the shadows of the trees. He didn't have a mount of his own, but that helps his stealth. He knew that the owl ahead will keep him updated.
Meanwhile the captives, being herded like cattle by the Scourge, kept racing towards the direction thier captives pushed them. Most of them did their best to avoid the whip's lashes and the lethal strikes. Finally the DeathKnight came up from behind and called for his second in command.
"We are being followed. Gather your best soldiers and build up our defenses. We must not let anything interfere with the sacrifices!"

(Sorry for not posting this sooner)
Elizana didn't even say a word even as she galloped faster and faster thanks to the power of her newly switched Crusader Aura. The freshness and the changing of the tracks grew while she rode, noticing that it went from a single trail of horse tracks to that of a few and numerous human footprints. It was clear that she was getting close.
"You aren't getting away that easy..."
Her eyes narrowed even as she and Zaber kept giving pursuit, still quite ready for anything that the deathknight might throw at her. She only hopes however, that everyone including the captives are okay.

Along the path were old guard towers that had plenty of undead archers, They were given orders to shoot anyone along the way. It almost seemed like nobody was comming when they spotted Elizana.
"Enemy approaching, take aim!" Each undead archer dipped their arrow tips in oil and lit them on fire taking aim. They waited until she got closer.
"FIRE!"
Elizana witnessed as the sky lit up with flying burning arrows. She had to react quickly...

Elizana gritted her teeth when she noticed the fire arrows coming straight at her. Her prayers uttered quicker and quicker as she tries to get a certain spell to work though only failing with each time as her forberance condition forces her conserve her strength. But as the arrows are within a short distance of her, her eyes grew more desperate even as she approaches towards the guard towers.
There is only one option left....
Releasing her reigns, she then reached down onto the right side armor of her steed as she brought about her shield. Motioning her horse to lead his head down while charging towards the towers, she brought her shield up in a act of desperation. With her forberance gone, she then uttered her blessing of protection spell upon herself to protect both her and her horse while approaching towards the nearest guard tower. While the barrier remains in place, she then revs her shield arm back as if she was about to launch it.
"Avenger's shield!"
Throwing her shield in one quick swing of her arm, the holy shield flew like a deadly drill towards one of the archer stations. Both her and horse raced even faster to avoid hopefully most if not all of the incoming fire even as her barrier is about to fade. It has come to her attention that if she is to get to the deathknight in time, these guard towers will have to be dealt with as quickly as possible.

"Keep fireing, or I'll catapolt yer useless heads and put them to proper use!" The head undead guard growled. Yet despite his shouts, no arrows were hitting her due to that cursed holy light. When some were about to fire more arrows, the fires along the arrow tips slid their way to the rotting flesh of some of their own archers. This was the element of fire that Aeiden was able to help take control of to help Elizana buy some time.
