I had an idea for an undead monk, like he was a monk in life but after the plague was turned undead. Then he became Forsaken. But was wondering something, do the monks in warcraft have holy powers? Or are they following more of the Oriental way of monks where they practice martial arts more?

I believe they are only martial arts. holy is reserved for priests/palladins

Ah, well, would a Forsaken monk still be a good idea anyways? ><

I believe any monks (There is a (scarlet) monastery in WoW. So there are monks) in Azeroth would be closer to the European tradition of the monk.
A holy man or priest who has cloistered himself within a monastery or church to better focus on prayer. They would be much like priests. Martial Artist Xiaolin style monks are in the Asian tradition, which is as of yet not really represented in Azeroth.

Hm, darn. I really liked the thought of seeing an undead monk that does do martial arts ><

Combat rogue, imo. It could work. Wear the good old sack cloth and go Jet Norris on people.
I once knew a guy who RPed a Kung Fu master as a Night Elf rogue. Good laughs.

It would depend on your monk. Like they said, either based off a European priest or an Asian matrial artist.
If you wanted the whole kung-fu thing, perhaps a Combat Rogue with fist weapons?
