Race: Blood Elf
Gender: Male
Height: 6'3
Place of Birth: Eversong Forest
Residence: The Barrens in Kalimdor
Occupation: In Kalimdor, he's a hired mercenary, spy and assassin. At the Eastern Kingdoms, he is but a mere ranger down a dark path.
Hobbies: Looting, pick-pocketing, hunting, and leatherworking
Alignment: At first, he was a ranger of Silvermoon until after the third war. He then became a mercenary for Kael'thas and ended up serving him under Illidan. After the battle at the Frozen throne, Shade abandoned Illidan's army and fled to Kalimdor.
Element: Shadows
Weapon: Shade wields two daggers that are useful in battle. The handles are made of emerald and green. Both blades are moonlike silver enchanted in blue in honor of the high elves.
Abilities: Shade is able to use stealth tactic to go unnoticed by enemies. Easily able to pickpocket, assassinate, or sneak his way through enemy territories.
Strengths: Shade's ability to make himself unnoticed and blend in with the shadows. Also, he has no problem with one-on-one frontal combat, even when it begins when he would stab his enemy in the back. When not in combat, he lures his enemies in the open with his bow and arrows.
Weaknesses: not well endured against more than one enemy by himself.
Friends: Grulnor 'The Great' Bloodeye, Anaria, Brela
Enemies: the Amani trolls, Kael'Thas and his Blood Knights, Illidan, The Lich King and the Scourge.
Rival: Brela (though they are good friends, Shade wants to prove that he's the supreme Rogue)
History: Shade was born in a family of high elves that lived outside of the city. His father was a bounty hunter, while his mother was a healer. He was an only child and had no peers even though there were plenty of aunts and uncles that lived with them. Most of his families were hunters, rogues, and priests who lived outside of Silvermoon.
One night, a group of Amani Trolls raided their camp and massacred nearly the entire family. Voc'Zaco ran for his life to the gates of Silvermoon and was adopted by a couple that were part of the Farstrider Rangers. With them, he trained to become a skilled ranger in the fight at the second war.
During the Third war, when Arthas led the scourge and nearly massacred every last elf, including his ranger general Sylvanas,
Voc'Zaco was forced to retreat and gone into hiding. For weeks, he stayed one step ahead of the undead scourge as they spreaded like a plauge. He survived by stealing food from the forest trolls (sometimes killing them in the process). The worse of it though was that now with the Sunwell gone, he began suffering from it's absence which made him feel weak.
One day, after a long journey past the plaugelands, he found his way in Silverpine Forest. Out of the corner of his eye, he has noticed movement in the shadows. Being an elf, he could easily hear the presence of a Shade ghost. Instinctively, he attacked and killed it. It was there he was spotted by a man who claimed he owns a mercenary camp. He offered the elf a place to stay, but in exchange, he has to work as a mercenary if he was to live there. Voc'Zaco felt that a mercenary camp was better than another day of running, so he accepted. The man nicknamed the elf 'Shade' for his tactics was combat from the shadows. There he trained with rogues qnd assasins, wondering what his fate awaits. He was shocked to find out that he would be helping out survivors of Silvermoon, now called Blood Elves, led by Kael'thas. Shade pledged his full loyalty to his prince, like the other elves, believing he would be their savior. As Kael'thas led his people from fighting the undead to retreating in the outland with the naga and rescuing Illidan, Shade was beginning to lose faith in his prince for he clearly saw his race wasn't going down a good path. It was until they took over the Black Temple and Illidan was confronted by Kil'Jaeden that Shade knew his race would be doomed.
Illidan was ordered to destroy the frozen throne to save himself from the Demon's wrath. Shade went along to help, not because he was trying to gain favour, but he had one thing in common with what Kil'jaeden wanted, An end to the Scourge. Unfortunatly, Illidan's forces lost their grounds and Shade was forced to etreat. Stealing a dragonhawk, Shade flew his way to his ancestreal land Kalimdor knowing full well there was nothing left of his homeland but blood and death.
When landing on the coasts of Durotar, Shade was confronted by an orc called Grulnor Bloodeye. After a brief spar, both the orc and elf acknowledged the fact their fight had honor behind it. They decidedto call the fight a draw. Grulnor explained to Shade about his battle on the mountain of Hijal. Shade realized that these were not the same blood crazed orcs he fought in the second war. It seems their new Warchief Thrall, has taught the orcs on how to be a race of proud warriors and not barbaric monsters. Shade felt that there was nothing left for him but to rid himself of the fel energies that haunt him. Grulnor, knowing full well on how his race went down the same demonic path, felt sympaty for the elf and offered him a chance to help.
To test his loyalty, Thrall assigned him with Grulnor to help the Darkspear Trolls against the centaurs. Thrall said that if he was to remain in Orgrimmar as a citizen, then he must have Tolerance for the Darkspears. Shade didn't want to at first, but he needed a whole new start. So he figured he better carry out Thrall's order. When they arrived, Grulnor explained the situation to Vol'Jinn, the Darkspear's Chieftan, on why Thrall assigned Shade to help. Vol'Jinn assured Shade that they were nothing like their barbaric cousins from the Eastern Kingdoms, for they gave up their way of cannibalism. After fending off a renegade group of Centaurs with Grulnor and the Darkspears by his side, Shade finally convinced himself that he can trust the Darkspears. Because of that, he earned Thrall's permission for his stay in Orgrimmar as an assasin for the rogues of the Shattered Hand.
Years later, rumors spead of Silvermoon being rebuilt by Blood elves led by Lor'Thermar, the new Ranger General who was Sylvanas' second. Shade was given permission to leave but swore that when the Horde is in need, he will lend his support on behalf of his race.
Personality: He prefers life outside of Silvermoon because he thinks the elves lifestyle is too soft for all work there was done by magic. Due to his independence and the fact he was part of the Farstrider Rangers, the Blood Knights usually give him a hard time. Shade has more loyalty to Thrall and the Horde than to Lor'Themar. Nothing against his Ranger General, but he sees Thrall as a born leader who freed his own race from demonic corruption.
Appearance: A tall young Blood Elf with long brown hair that hangs below his neck, with a small goatee on his chin to match.
Clothing: Shade wears leather armored tunic and trousers. Red around the limbs with gold outlining. Has a red cloak with yellow trimmings including around his hood. His armored shoulders in the same colored detail double poited. He wears a tabard representing the Horde.
In Character: Voc'Zaco countined to fight his hardest as the raids of the undead kept comming forth. His fellow rangers falling bit by bit. He turned to see his Ranger General Sylvanas, wiping out every undead foe that crosses her path. He knew
